I love this large space. I hope we stay here forever!

Steve Wetlesen drew the next 5. He is straight from the heart and one of my favorite artists.
His poetry, written alongside his images, reveal some of his emotions.
Steve feels the aura of people he is around so he can talk to you and do an instant poetic piece.
Events such as weddings, births, deaths, bar mitzvah's, christenings etc. are some of his inspiration.

Here are a few of mine. Tried oil pastels smudged with uncolored pastel stick.

This last is to show how I do the 10 thirty second poses.
Paper is expensive so I just draw one on top of the other.
Sometimes I will use this as a background for another figure.

Videos Of My Art

Here is a painting of Page Mill Rd. in Palo Alto California. Palo Alto is horse, bike and runner's world. Stanford students and professors live here and play here. They buy things here. They come from around the world to do residencies or full time teaching. Highway 280 takes you there by the most beautiful hills in the world. Nestled among them is Stanford Linear Accelerator.

Taking the Page Mill Rd exit takes you past the spot I photographed for this painting. It's half way to town and has horses in some of it's pastures. I'm standing across the street on the corner of Page Mill and Deer Creek Rds. Behind me is a riding ring and down Deer Creek is more beauty.

Endangered & Abused Species

Forest Hill Elementary Art Event put on by Art Instructor, Marianne Bickette.

Featured are the Kid's Art on walls and tables (no photo's : ( ), Horses painted on butcher paper by me and canvases of Endangered Species by Jan Pitcher.

The first photo is of my horses taped up on a screen. In the wild, they are routinely and inhumanely rounded up with some killed for dog food if they are not already dead from exhaustion because of being chased by helicopters while pregnant. In other cases some are beaten until bloody by psychopathic owners or left to starve in winter, fenced into a grassy area, not nutritious enough to see them through. Skeletons are brought into the sanctuaries. Sorry to be so graphic but their plight is graphic.

I will post where you can help when I get the information.

This week was another great one. Everyone loved our model, Liz Jorgensen. The weather was warm enough to not have to turn on the heater for the first time : )
