This session brought us a "virgin" to the figure drawing experience. Nancie has innate talent so she did well right away. We look forward to seeing her work as she progresses beyond this very nice beginning. Welcome Nancie!
As usual, we have wonderful haiku from Steve Wetlesen, poetic artist. Scroll to the end to read his insightful missives, written as he drew and was inspired or frustrated with his results.
The rest are mine, Elizabeth Parashis
This last one had a wonderful painting of a face behind Kammeron so I painted it.
KAMMERON ABSTRACTS
January 26, 2012 Life Sketch Session
Stone Griffin Gallery
Campbell, California
Luna Venus Haiku
Thin crescent and Love.
Aphrodite in sky chill.
Her surface melts lead.
January Haiku
Celeste in background.
Fairyland tinkle swing notes.
But it’s not Christmas!
Sketching Music Haiku
I’ll never listen
to Mozartian classics
the same after her.
Struggling With Poses Haiku
Churchill would tell me
“Never surrender!” = I’ve met
models with that name.
Haiku for NASA and Einstein
She forms a steeple.
Human spires elongating
to infinity.
KAMMERON FIVE MINUTES
Full of Myself Haiku
As often the case,
I lack the words, making me
beatific sight?
GREEN FAIRY
Absinthe Haiku
Drink no elixir
to reach her deepest essence.
We need sober eyes.
THE SWEET WINE
POURED OUT OF HEAVEN
She is the bottle,
Elegant smooth cabernet.
Harvest aroma.
BLUE VISION
Is she galaxy?
Women – myriad star suns?
Her astronomy:
See and sky are one.
Both are endless fluid realms.
She is also that.
I render her,
in impossible bent angles?
Higher plane of space?
She swirls in my lens,
yet I am no camera.
What strange words my Art?
Capture feminine?
Stark impossibility.
Is this a haiku?
